The International Map Industry Association (IMIA) proudly continues its tradition of excellence with the Best Map Award, first established in 2000 to recognize outstanding cartographic achievements by member organizations. After a brief hiatus, the prestigious engraved Best Map Cup was revived during the 2025 Mapping Leaders Forum, reaffirming IMIA’s commitment to innovation and quality in mapping.

The IMIA Awards Committee evaluates entries based on four key criteria: design, functionality, ease of use, and accuracy.

The overall winner will receive the Best Map Cup in May at the annual Mapping Leaders Forum, where excellence in mapping takes center stage.

Call for entries produced from Apr 1, 2025 through February 28, 2026 will open November 1, 2025. More details to come soon.
