Richard Hewish, who served on the IMTA (EAME) board in the mid-1990s, recently celebrated his 80th birthday. Retiring from Lovell Johns in 2004, he attended most of the association’s International and European conferences. One of his claims to fame was attending 32 successive Frankfurt Book Fairs.

Hewish was awarded the Life Membership Award in 2003, which has been a great source of pride for him and a highlight of his 45-year career in cartography.
