Until next year, Frankfurt Book Fair…

In October, IMIA returned in-person to the Frankfurt Book Fair with a collective stand that featured eight exhibiting sponsors:

Cordee Distribution National Geographic Maps
Craenen BVBA NextByte Technologies
INTERKART Landkarten&Globen GmbH Räthgloben 1917 Verlags GmbH
MapSherpa Stellanova

The booth space facilitated both planned meetings and frequent informal discussions throughout the three-day event. Evening functions included a Whiskey Reception sponsored by MapSherpa & NextByte, and a group dinner on Friday night.

Our sponsors noted the high quality of engagement by mapping leaders, and the rapid pace of business development permitted by this unique event. We appreciate all of the effort and excitement our member companies brought to FBF 2022!

We expect high demand for participation in October 2023 and may expand our space. If you are interested in receiving information about exhibiting, please email a note of interest to imia@oferrallgroup.com so we may follow up with you in the spring.

Battersea Bookshop to open inside the iconic Battersea Power Station

The owners of the Battersea Power Station approached Stanfords two years ago to represent independent booksellers and open a store in the new retail complex. The renowned London bookseller Stanfords was established in 1853 and has a main store in Mercer Walk, Covent Garden. While Stanfords is widely known as a map and travel book specialist, Battersea Bookshop will be a general bookshop stocking a wide range of genres with a focus on architecture, London literature and children’s books.
