Chris Balić is the Co-owner and Director of Cordee Ltd, a leading distributor of outdoor and adventure travel books, maps, and guides in the U.K. He brings over a decade of expertise in working with Amazon, leveraging deep knowledge of online retail and distribution within the U.K. book trade. He recently joined the board of the International Map Industry Association (IMIA) and chairs the Events Committee.

Chris Brackley is co-owner and lead cartographer of As the Crow Flies Cartography and chief cartographer for Canadian Geographic Magazine. His relationship with maps began long before his career—shaped by childhood explorations of Toronto’s Wonscotonach (Don River) valley and summers paddling the lakes and rivers of Anishinaabe Territory in Algonquin Provincial Park.

Dr. Aileen Buckley is a cartographer researcher and senior principal GIS engineer at Esri. She works on the ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World team making, writing, and talking about maps. Buckley is also involved in a number of cartographic societies and associations and is the chair of the ICA Ethics in Cartography Commission.
Steve Burry is the Managing Director of Dennis Maps Ltd, the largest map printer in the UK and one of the leading map printers in the world. Steve has led the company since its foundation in 2014.

Bridger DeVille is the sales director at East View Map Link, North America’s largest wholesale map distributor. He has been in the map industry since 2007 when he joined the award-winning recreation atlas publisher Benchmark Maps. There, he was the Sales & Marketing Director for 12 years before migrating to East View, where he now leads wholesale business development through a network of publishers, distributors, and retailers. Bridger is IMIA’s immediate past president (2023-24) and is currently an advisory board member and governance committee chair.
Andy Hoggarth is the Vice President and General Manager of Teledyne CARIS, based in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Teledyne CARIS is recognized globally as a leader in ocean mapping and nautical charting software, serving national hydrographic offices, scientific institutions, and commercial organizations worldwide.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Andy immigrated to Canada to join CARIS and has been a key part of the organization for more than 23 years. Over that time, he has helped guide the company through significant technological evolution and its integration into the Teledyne Technologies family.

Dave Jay is the Director of Sales and Strategy for National Geographic Maps. With 28 years of experience in the map industry, he has a proven track record of forging strategic partnerships, developing retail distribution networks, and driving growth by identifying and capitalizing on emerging market opportunities. In addition to leading sales and business development efforts, Dave shapes National Geographic’s portfolio of cartographic offerings through his role in product planning and selection.

Alex Lee is Managing Director of East View Map Link, a leading distributor and producer of maps, atlases, and geospatial products. He directs the distribution, production, and commercialization of map products, overseeing fulfillment operations and strategic partnerships across publishing, retail, and government markets. Alex serves on the IMIA board and chairs the Membership Committee, supporting growth and connectivity across the global map industry.

Kent Lee is the Co-founder and CEO of East View Companies since 1989. He is a graduate of Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (MIA, 1988); ABD in Political Science, Columbia’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences; University of Minnesota (BA, summa cum laude, 1985). Previous positions include Research associate, Institute for Defense Analyses (Alexandria, VA); Research assistant, Institute for East-West Security Studies (New York, NY); Teaching Assistant, International Security Studies Program, Columbia University.

Daniela Macleod is a Senior Analyst, GIS & Data Solutions at the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), where she is part of the Business Analytics and Data Technology team. She holds a BSc in Environmental Science and a Master’s in Spatial Analysis and brings 22 years of experience in the conservation sector, where she has witnessed the evolution of modern mapping technologies.
Oliver Normanton is a Product Manager at Avenza Systems, where he leads development of MAPublisher, a professional cartographic plugin for Adobe Illustrator used by mapmakers and GIS professionals worldwide. With a BSc in Physical Geography from the University of Hertfordshire, he brings a grounded understanding of spatial data and geographic principles to the intersection of GIS, cartography, and software development. His work focuses on empowering users to produce beautiful maps that effectively communicate complex information.

Alex Miller is president and founder of Esri Canada, the leading geographic information system (GIS) company in Canada, founded in 1984. He is a pioneer in transforming geography and mapping into a 21st-century digital tool used by millions around the world. His work has helped people see location as a unifying lens through which land and resources are understood.
For his work, he has been named a URISA GIS Hall of Fame Laureate and a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. He has also received the University of New Brunswick’s Engineering Distinguished Alumni Award and has been inducted into UNB’s Engineering Wall of Fame.

With over three decades of experience as a software and internet entrepreneur, Mani Singh has been at the forefront of website development and migration, legacy system integration, B2B e-commerce, ERP implementations, and search engine marketing.
Sonia Trentin is a Deputy Director at the Canada Center for Mapping and Earth Observation at Natural Resources Canada. She started her career for The Weather Network as a meteorologist before moving to Government of Canada. She holds a BSc in Physics from the Université du Québec à Montréal and a Certificate Business Administration from the Université de Sherbrooke. Her work enables the organisation’s digital transformation by providing geospatial technology and products that promote discovery, analysis, and support decisions.
